The Wheel Proximity Sensor is used on vehicles that either don’t have integrated wheel speed sensors, or there is no manufacturer documentation as to the location of those signals. This DMI Sensor counts pulses by detecting the knuckles of a vehicle’s driveshaft. It is often a preferred installation option for full-sized or larger trucks where the SS-10 or OBD-II sensors are not practical. The Proximity Sensor requires an optional Vehicle Installation Kit TCI104 (No. 220967, sold separately) for installation.
Makes it Possible to Attach a DMI Using Your Vehicle’s OBDII Port The OBD-II Interface Adapter TCI200 allows the DMI to be used in virtually any vehicle with an OBDII port. No additional power cables are needed since the Adapter supplies power from the OBDII port. Installation is as simple as plugging one end of the Adapter into your OBDII port and the other into your NITESTAR DMI.
The NITESTAR ® has been designed to make distance measuring as easy as possible. The average survey can be completed simply by using the four large keys on the left side of the instrument.
The NITESTAR® has embedded programs specially designed for contractors who require material amounts and costs for asphalt, concrete, gravel, sand and other components.
The NITESTAR® also has non volatile internal memory to store numerous events along with the distance that they occur. Non volatile memory ensures that events are not lost when the device is turned off.
Designed by the company that invented the first Electronic DMI, the NITESTAR® will offer the most accurate distance measurements from any road vehicle within an accuracy of one foot per mile!
